“L” was not in the best mood for this session.  We figured it was because she had a cold, it was cold outside and it was late in the afternoon, not the best time of day for a baby.  Somehow we pulled the sessions off.  The next Day “L” was really sick, no wonder she was not in a good mood.

We debated back and forth if we should do this session in studio or outdoors.  It was chilly but we decided on outdoors.  I am so glad we did.  “K” was a little shy but I was still about to get the shots….we just had to chase her around.

“D” and his parents visited me in studio the other day. I love it when newborns will stall all curled, so cute. “D” was so good on his tummy. Tummy shot are some of my favorites poses for newborns.

“A” is the cutest ballerina ever.  “A” had a great visit to my studio the other day.  We had so much fun dressing her up.  She was so happy the whole time.  I hope she comes back a gain in a few months.

From the moment I met “M” I was in love with her eyes, just look at them! This session was in “M”’s house plus a little in the yard. Her dad was great at singing to her to get her to smile.

“A” is a new big sister. I started taking “A”’s pictures when she was first born. Now she has a new little sister. They came to my studio last week for the session. it is always fun to catch up with clients.

Meet “D”. I had the pleasure of photographing is much older cousin “L” 4 months ago when he was a newborn. “D” was a week older than I like newborns to be, notice how alert he is. He did great once we fed him! He didn’t want to sleep but that is normal, the older they get the harder it is to get sleeping pictures.

I love getting cuddles from newborns. I wish they would stay cuddly longer. Meet baby “C” she was exactly 2 weeks old at the session. “C” and her parents spend an afternoon with my in my studio. I can’t wait to see them again at 6 months.

Yep, another boy :)  “B” just turned one.  I had the pleasure of watching him grow.  I first met “B” in his home a week or so after he was born.  I am always a little sad when they turn one.

I don’t think I will ever get tired of newborn sessions.  I just love them.  There is something so perfect about a newborn.  As my daughter gets older, she is almost 20 months, I miss having a newborn around.  I love the way they curl their hand around their face.
