“I” is a big sister.  “M” arrived a few weeks ago.  I had the pleasure of photographing her this week.  She is just as sweet as her sister was as a newborn.  After much discussion we decided to do the session in home.  They wanted to make sure that the pictures looked different since was also did her big sister’s newborn session in home a few years ago.  It was fun to think outside the box and pay around with some new ideas.

My last few newborns were not very sleepy and made for a normal, bt harder session.  This little lady was perfect.  She was such a plesure.  She let me pose her in all my favorite ways.

6 Month old “A” met me in studio the other day.  She has the most beautiful eyes ever, don’t you think.  “A” was not that excited about her session but you would never know from the pictures.

This little guy was so cute.  He has the cutest little monkey blanket.  I have had a string of not-wanting-to-sleep newborns.  Baby “E” fit right in, he pertended to sleep for a few but he was wide eyed for the most part.

Despite or best efforts baby “G” was wide awake for the whole session.  He was happy and content so all in all it was a great session.

Maternity sessions can be so fun.  I love the feel the excitement from the parents about their new little arrival.  I like to try to schedule maternity sessions between 32-34 weeks, when the moms are still feeling good.  Mothers-to-be truly do radiate something special.

Last week I had the pleasure of meeting baby “L” and his parents in studio. They have a perfect new son. We almost did get this session done in time. I was luckily able to squeeze them in, I am so glad I did.

Cold weather has finally hit Colorado.  It has been snowing, finally.  Snow means and end to most of my outdoor sessions.  Last week “G” and her parents visited me in studio.  “G” is almost 18 months, the dreaded age to photograph!  She did well as long as we have her a few breaks.  She was making the cutest animal sounds ever during the session.

This was such a fun session.  Since I stopped taking as many weddings in 2007 I mostly work with children.  This couple wanted some fun studio pictures.  They are already married so they wanted something different.  They were so much fun to work with.

“L” was not in the best mood for this session.  We figured it was because she had a cold, it was cold outside and it was late in the afternoon, not the best time of day for a baby.  Somehow we pulled the sessions off.  The next Day “L” was really sick, no wonder she was not in a good mood.
